Javier Torres Riesco

Javier Torres Riesco is a member of the High Corps of Spanish State Economists and Trade Experts and he has 30 years of experience in the financial sector.

From 1986 to 2016, he worked at Banco Santander, where he was Deputy Assistant Managing Director and he held other senior positions in business and risk management, including Head of Enterprise-Wide Control and Internal Risk Management.

Between 2017 and 2019, he was also Director of Resolution and Strategy at the FROB (Fund for Orderly Bank Restructuring) and member of the organisation’s Management Committee.
